BURG-WÄCHTER KG / BURG-GUARD GmbH (formerly SANTEC BW AG) follows standard industry practice in dealing with software testing and vulnerabilities found in product software and products in order to minimise the risk to customers. Unfortunately, a complete security of products, software and services, which are created and tested to the best of our knowledge and belief, cannot be completely guaranteed to be free of errors that cannot be overcome by possibly malicious attackers. This applies not only to BURG-WÄCHTER KG/ BURG-GUARD GmbH devices, but rather to the general public of networkable devices that have communication interfaces and services. We can guarantee that we endeavour to reduce the risk to a minimum.
The elimination of vulnerabilities is an ongoing process, as new vulnerabilities are always being found in network protocols and services, among other things, and cannot be completely ruled out.
At this point, we would also like to refer to the BHE white paper on the topic of "Cyber Security in Video Systems", which also includes recommended measures by the BHE. which, among other things, also refers to recommended measures of the "Federal Office for Information Security" (BSI) (Link ).

In order to be able to help you quickly and without complications, we need the following information:
- Product type / item number (label or in the menu of the device under Info)
- Serial number
- Firmware / software version (for IP cameras and recorders)
- Detailed description of the problem
- Link to pictures and videos that clarify the problem
- If it is a cross-device problem: A sketch of the system setup
- Contact information and availability, such as phone number and email address for queries
